A relationship-focused farming RPG about saving a town from resort development
The briefing
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland is a farming-focused role-playing and simulation game developed by Victor Interactive and published by Natsume. Released on November 20, 2001, it was the first Harvest Moon title for PlayStation 2.
Rather than centering primarily on wealth, the game challenges players to save their town from being transformed into a resort the following year. Farming remains an important part of daily life, but progress is especially shaped by interactions and relationships with the townspeople.
