About this game

Hawkeye is a bi-directional horizontally scrolling platform shooter released in 1987. Players control an SLF (Synthetic Life Form) directed from an underground bunker by the Xamoxians.

Each level requires finding four puzzle pieces, with flashing hawk eyes in the status panel indicating the direction to travel. Ammo and energy pickups can aid progress, while four weapons offer different capabilities: an unlimited-ammo pistol, a rapid-fire machine gun, a powerful laser, and a rocket launcher. The latter three weapons have limited ammunition.

The game includes 12 levels and a hidden bonus level, with parallax-scrolling backgrounds and enemies such as rhinos, triceratops, and gorillas. It was developed by Boys without Brains and published by Thalamus Ltd for Amiga, Atari ST, Atari ST/STE, Commodore Amiga, and Commodore C64/128/MAX.
