About this game

Head Buster is a strategy game for the Sega Game Gear in which robots battle across tactical combat maps. Victory earns gold that can be spent on improved weapons, including rifles, missile launchers, and flamethrowers.

Each battlefield features a central base. Players clear a stage by destroying the opposing base or eliminating all enemy robots. Weapon range is an important consideration, as targets cannot be attacked when they are too close or too far away. Robots can also be traded for gold when upgrading them is not possible.

The game includes ten maps, with a password for each level. After a loss, players must deliver newspapers for a small stipend before they can resume competing.
