About this game

Heist is an arcade platform game for the BBC Microcomputer System. You play as a bank manager tasked with recovering money bags scattered across a multi-floor bank and returning them to the vault on the ground floor.

Gameplay

  • Move between floors using ladders while collecting and returning every money bag.
  • Evade four burglars who pursue the player and become more skilled on subsequent days.
  • Respond to randomly planted bombs, which must be reached and disarmed within ten seconds.
  • Use two hammers to stun burglars temporarily. Hammers can only be used on the floor where they are found and cannot be carried alongside a money bag.

A level is completed when all the money bags have been returned to the vault. A bomb explosion or contact with a burglar costs a life. The game was developed by Marcus Altman and published by SoftSpot.
