Arcade shooting and egg-collecting on the TI-99/4A

The briefing

About this game

Henhouse combines egg collection with defensive shooting. Eggs appear near the top of the hen house and travel into one of five chutes. Once a chute is full, you can collect the eggs and carry them to your truck.

Overflowing chutes create cracked eggs, and six cracked eggs end the game. Bandits can steal eggs, while coyotes threaten the chickens and end the game if they are not stopped. To defend the hen house, retrieve the shotgun from the left side of the screen and shoot the attackers. Two harmless birds also fly overhead and can be shot for 50 points each.

You cannot collect eggs while holding the shotgun, so the gun must be returned after the danger has passed.
