The briefing

About this game

Hercules: Slayer of the Damned! is a 1985 beat 'em up set in the world of ancient Greek mythology. Players control Hercules, the son of Zeus and Alcmene, as he undertakes twelve labours ordered by the King of Argos.

The labours appear as icons during battles in locations including ancient Greek temples. Collecting one places it in an urn, but a spider attempts to steal it, requiring a well-timed attack. Hercules must also fight sword-carrying skeletons, and after all twelve labours are collected, confronts the mighty Minotaur.
