About this game

History Civil War: Secret Missions is a shooter set during the American Civil War. Players take the roles of Union and Confederate soldiers operating behind enemy lines, disrupting supply routes, stealing ironclad ships, and sabotaging strongholds.

Missions draw on actions associated with partisans, scouts, and rangers, including Mosby's Rangers, Sheridan's Scouts, and Grant's Secret Service. The game features battles such as the Great Train Raid of 1861 and the Fall of Vicksburg, along with period weapons including the pepperbox revolver and coffee mill gun. Mission commands come from figures including Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Ulysses Grant.

Developed by Cauldron and published by Activision, it was released on November 4, 2008, for PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
