About this game

Horse Racing is a 1–6 player game combining betting with competitive races. Before each event, players can bet on the winner or on the horses finishing first and second, then decide whether selected horses are controlled by players or the CPU.

Racing Features

  • Races take place on turf, mud, or dry terrain.
  • Horses differ in starting-gate speed, stamina, straight-line speed, and performance across terrain conditions.
  • Only the third and fourth horses can be driven by players.
  • Players and the CPU can use a whip and coaxing to spur a horse, including one that has become tired.
  • Horses begin faster and slow toward the end of a race.

Released in 1980 for Emerson Arcadia 2001, Intellivision, and Mattel Intellivision.
