A high-speed arcade escape from an enemy country

The briefing

About this game

Hot Chase is a 1988 arcade driving game published by Konami and developed by Activision. Players drive a white Porsche out of enemy territory toward a border crossing in a friendly country.

Gameplay

A bomb attached to the car explodes after a set time, forcing players to restart if they fail to reach safety. The route includes railroad crossings, military checkpoints, enemy vehicles, and helicopters that fire at the Porsche. The chase-view gameplay is similar to Chase H.Q.

Completing the game leads to a finale in which the hero leaves the car, uses a machine gun to further damage it, and escapes before the bomb detonates.
