Arcade action-platformer from Century Electronics

The briefing

About this game

Hunchback is an arcade action-platform game developed by Century Electronics. Players control Quasimodo from Victor Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame as he crosses castle walls from left to right to ring a bell.

The route is filled with pits, ramparts, spear-wielding knights, flying fireballs, and arrows. Pits must be swung over using a long rope, while other obstacles require jumping or ducking. After several screens, Quasimodo must rescue Esmeralda; completing the final screen restarts the game at a faster speed.
