A pioneering action RPG inspired by the Ring of the Nibelungen

About this game

ICON: Quest for the Ring is an action-focused dungeon crawler inspired by the Ring of the Nibelungen and tales from Norse mythology. The story centers on Alberich, a dwarf who claims the Rhine gold and chooses power over love, while a hero rises to oppose his rule.

Players guide the hero through top-down dungeons filled with hostile creatures. Melee attacks are performed by standing near an enemy and pressing the attack button, while ranged attacks require an additional directional input. Defeated enemies grant experience and levels, strengthening the protagonist as the adventure progresses.

Weapons and other items are scattered throughout the dungeons, with weapons equipped automatically when found.
