Atari 2600 arcade shooter prototype
The briefing
Kamikaze Saucers is an Atari 2600 arcade shooter developed by Daniel Wolf and associated with Syncro, Inc. Although it was not listed in contemporary game lists, Syncro advertised the title before withdrawing from the declining video game market.
The game was later confirmed to be real when its programmer provided a ROM image for distribution to the gaming community. Its gameplay follows the style of Atlantis and Demon Attack: players control a large ship and shoot descending saucers before they crash into it. Three large ships approach from the top of the screen, and failing to destroy them in time costs a life.
