Join Rami and Spot in their dragon-filled, fireball-shooting escapades!

Keio Flying Squadron (慶応遊撃隊 Keiōyūgekitai?) takes players on an exciting scrolling shooter journey. Developed and published by Victor Entertainment in 1994, this game was initially released for the Sega/Mega CD in Japan, Europe, and North America. With its simple shoot-'em-up style gameplay, it quickly became a hit among gamers.

In Keio Flying Squadron, players control the fearless protagonist Rami, who rides on the back of a dragon named Spot. Together, they embark on a mission to defeat enemies by shooting fireballs. But Spot isn't the only one with firepower! When Spot isn't launching fireballs, two smaller dragons known as Companion fighters swoop in to assist Rami and Spot. These little dragons shoot smaller fireballs and can even be sacrificed for greater damage, only to reappear when Spot takes a break from blasting enemies.

When the game was released in Europe, Sega Pro magazine treated players to a demo of the first level. Although it seemed like the game ended there, sly players soon discovered that the full game was accessible on the disc. By using a level-select cheat to skip to the second level and continuing through the game, players could experience the full adventure that awaited them.

Retro Gamer magazine even recognized Keio Flying Squadron as one of the top ten Mega CD games. They described it as a "perfectly acceptable substitute" for Konami's Parodius, featuring a similar style of horizontally scrolling wackiness. One of the highlights of the game was its ability to showcase the Mega-CD hardware by offering excellent cut-scenes and a brilliant CD-quality soundtrack that added to the overall experience.

Get ready for a quirky and hilarious adventure with Keio Flying Squadron. Join Rami and Spot as they navigate through challenging levels, take down enemies with their fireball powers, and enjoy the stunning visuals and catchy soundtrack. Whether you're a fan of shoot-'em-up games or just looking for a good time, Keio Flying Squadron is sure to deliver a unique and entertaining experience that will keep you coming back for more.
