Onimusha: Way of the Sword is a dark fantasy action adventure centered on intense, blood-soaked swordplay. Set in the historic Japanese capital of Edo-era Kyoto, its stages are shrouded in mystery, danger, and the malevolent influence of Malice.

Players follow a samurai armed with the Oni Gauntlet, a mystical artifact that grants its wielder the power to slay the underworld monstrosities known as Genma. As he fights through brutal battles, he searches for his reason to fight and confronts the fate waiting at the end of his path.
