Join the protagonist on a mission to save the day with the help of a loyal canine companion.

Shadow Dancer, a game that harkens back to the classic Shinobi arcade game, offers players a familiar gaming experience with a new furry twist. While the play mechanics remain largely the same as the original Shinobi, Shadow Dancer introduces a canine companion to spice things up.

The controls and moves from the original Shinobi make a triumphant return in Shadow Dancer. Players will feel right at home as they navigate the protagonist through challenging levels filled with enemies. However, the addition of a four-legged sidekick is where Shadow Dancer truly shines.

This loyal companion follows the protagonist wherever they go, and when it barks towards an enemy, it's time to take action. By holding down the attack button and releasing it, players can unleash the dog on the enemy, creating a distraction and allowing them to land a devastating blow. It's like having the best attack dog on your side!

But be careful not to take too long to attack, or face a strong enemy. If that happens, the dog ends up getting hurt and turns into an adorable, harmless pup. It will remain in this form until the player either acquires the next time bomb or finishes the stage. You don't want your furry partner to suffer, so time your attacks carefully!

When it comes to weaponry, players have an unlimited supply of shurikens at their disposal. But that's not all, as a trusty sword comes into play when adjacent to an enemy. Talk about versatility! As players collect half of the time bombs in each stage, stronger weapons are unlocked until the player either finishes the stage or loses a life. Keep collecting those bombs for ultimate power!

To add further excitement to the gameplay, players can utilize one of three random "Ninja Magic" spells that clear the entire screen of enemies. These spells are normally limited to one use per stage, but if the player inserts another credit after a Game Over and continues, they'll have two uses instead. Talk about magic getting a second chance!

And let's not forget about bonus points. Players who complete a stage without using shurikens or spells are in for a special treat. Bonus points are awarded for this amazing feat, as a reward for their pure ninja skills.

Shadow Dancer features four different missions, each with a distinct challenge. The first mission consists of three stages, while the remaining three missions have four stages each. In the early stages of every mission, players must collect a certain number of time bombs scattered throughout the level to progress towards the goal. The ultimate test comes in the form of epic boss battles in the final stage of each mission. Prepare to face some formidable foes!

Between missions, players will be treated to an exciting bonus stage. Imagine standing on a tall building and witnessing a horde of ninjas descending from above. Your mission? Shoot them down, of course! Success in this bonus round rewards players with an extra life. Let the ninja shooting commence!

Shadow Dancer combines the nostalgic gameplay of Shinobi with the addition of a lovable canine companion. Get ready for epic adventures, intense battles, and heartwarming moments with man's best friend. Can you save the day with the help of your furry sidekick?

So, step into the shoes of the protagonist, unleash the power of your dog, and embark on an unforgettable journey in Shadow Dancer. It's time to embrace the ninja within and show the world what you're made of!
