Marvel's fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions unveils a new original character and activities at the New York Comic Con 2023.

Marvel Contest of Champions Receives Major Updates

The much-anticipated New York Comic Con 2023 has come and gone, leaving a trail of exciting announcements in its wake. Among them was a significant announcement from Kabam, the creators of the enviable fan-favorite, Marvel Contest of Champions. The immersive superhero game is set to receive an array of new content, including the introduction of an all-new character and a host of activities to keep players glued to their screens.

With characters being added to the Marvel Contest of Champions every month, it might seem like just another regular update. However, this announcement is special because for the first time, an original character is being added to the game's roster. Players and fans of the game, brace yourselves for the arrival of an electrifying new character, Chee'ilth.

Taking inspiration from the First Nations people, Chee'ilth's power emanates from her rich heritage. Her combative capabilities are derived from Brother Grizzly, healing abilities are lent by Sister Eagle, and a smorgasbord of unique abilities are attributed to other spirits. Chee'ilth is expected to join the game in November, adding a new and thrilling element to the gameplay.

The event also saw the selection of the top eight players for the Battlerealm Brawl. These chosen players will battle it out for the ultimate reward on October 20th and 21st at The Gaming Stadium in Vancouver. Fans can grab free tickets to witness the battle live or tune into the Twitch livestream to catch all the action from the comfort of their homes.

This update isn't just about the good guys, though. This month, the villains too have upped their game. Players should brace for action-packed encounters against custom villains unique to Marvel Contest of Champions. The super-charged Act 8 will introduce dark versions of players' favorite characters Scytalis (Natasha Romanov), Bahamet (Bruce Banner), and Cerastes (Tony Stark). Players can look forward to Cerastes, who will be a part of Act 8.3, going live on October 18th.

Over the next couple of months, fans of Marvel Contest of Champions are in for a treat. The game is set to add levels of thrill and excitement with its new additions. Fans can download the game via their desired link. It is currently available as a free-to-play game and offers in-app purchases.
