Russell T Davies, the showrunner, shed light on the creation of the Whoniverse: “The word 'Whoniverse' was invented by fans, so it’s only fitting to officially acknowledge it." He expressed his elation over developing "Tales of the TARDIS", describing it as one of the highlights of his career. He added, "To see old Doctors and companions reunited, still fighting the good fight, is a perfect way to celebrate the Doctor’s 60th birthday!”
The date of the show's premiere also holds an extra special surprise: the unveiling of the complete Doctor Who catalogue with more than 800 episodes on iPlayer.
