About this game

1941: Counter Attack is a vertical shooter set in Capcom’s imaginative vision of the World War II air conflict between American and Japanese forces. Players pilot a Lockheed P-38 through six stages filled with enemy installations, battleships, rockets, and other large-scale targets.

The game features more varied stage design than earlier entries in the series, including canyons, city landscapes, and fortified strongholds. Power-ups add tiny wingmen, laser beams, and side rockets, while holding the fire button charges the main weapon for a powerful attack.

The P-38 uses a life bar that can withstand three hits, increases during the game, and also supports devastating special attacks. Two players can play simultaneously.
