High-speed aerial combat against the Black Falcon terrorist cell
After Burner: Black Falcon is a fast-paced aerial action game for the PlayStation Portable, developed by Planet Moon Studios and published by Sega. Across 24 levels, players pursue the Black Falcon terrorist cell after it steals thirteen prototype aircraft.
Three pilots—Billy Blaze, Harrison Duke, and Tomiko Rossellini—offer different plot twists. Players can fly 19 aircraft, mostly jets, and customize them with weapons, items, and paint jobs. Combat combines hit-scan and lock-on weapons with evasive rolls, while missions include main objectives and side missions that provide additional money for upgrades.
Set in locations around the world, the game features destructible or avoidable scenery, pilot sequences during missions, and large bosses equipped with weapons such as EMP devices. Multiplayer supports up to eight players in competitive modes, along with a two-player cooperative mode.
