About this game

Airborne Ranger puts you in the role of a U.S. Army airborne ranger deployed behind enemy lines. Each mission begins with reviewing the briefing and outfitting three supply pods with equipment such as machine-gun ammunition, time bombs, first-aid kits, grenades, and LAW rockets.

After flying over the mission area in a V-22 Osprey, you drop the supply pods and parachute into the operation yourself. You must plan a route across the map, navigate hazards such as trenches and minefields, deal with enemy soldiers and bunkers, complete the objective, and reach the pickup point before time expires.

Missions and Gameplay

The game features 12 missions set in arctic, desert, and temperate environments. Objectives include capturing an enemy officer, destroying an ammunition depot, photographing an experimental aircraft, and liberating prisoners of war. Some missions emphasize stealth, requiring you to remain undetected, eliminate a guard, or steal an enemy uniform.

Practice mode focuses on a single mission, while veteran mode presents missions in sequence as part of a campaign where medals and promotions can be earned. Missions can also be played across several difficulty levels.
