Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a remake of the original Tomb Raider, retaining its basic storyline while updating the presentation, level layouts, dialogue, and cutscenes.

Its familiar locations are revisited in the same order, but feature largely redesigned puzzles built around acrobatics, ledge traversal, rope swinging, and grappling-hook use. These mechanics place greater emphasis on jumping and shimmying, replacing most of the original’s key-retrieval and block-pushing challenges.

Combat remains similar to the first game, with manual targeting added. Certain boss encounters take place in enclosed stages and combine combat with puzzle-solving, including use of Lara’s adrenaline dodge ability. Some cutscenes also include quick-time events.
