About this game

Alshark is a Japanese-style science-fiction role-playing game set in Wisperad, a small universe divided among the Mars Confederation, the Kingdom of Willia, and the Empire of Zolius.

After a meteorite falls on the planet Homu and Sion Asmarn’s father is killed under mysterious circumstances, Sion and his girlfriend Shoko set out to investigate. Their journey spans multiple solar systems, planets, and space stations.

Gameplay

  • Control a party of up to five characters.
  • Explore planets and space stations in an open order across several solar systems.
  • Travel aboard the Atlia, which can be equipped with different weapons, engines, and frames.
  • Engage in random space battles, earning scrap that can be converted into money.
  • Fight automatically by default or manually control the ship’s weapons in arcade-style combat.

Alshark was released on November 26, 1993, for FM Towns, Sega CD, TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, and TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine CD.
