The briefing

About this game

Ambermoon is the second game in Thalion’s never-finished Amber trilogy, following Amberstar. Set more than half a century after the first game, it takes place in Lyramion as the world begins recovering from the destruction caused by the collapse of the red moon.

The original protagonist is now an old, dying man. After experiencing a vision of a supposedly deceased friend warning of a great evil’s return, he sends his grandchild to investigate the vision and seek out the old friend.

Gameplay

The game begins with the player choosing a male or female protagonist, with several portrait options. Additional characters can be recruited throughout Lyramion, with up to six members forming the active combat party. Characters can train physical attributes through specific town NPCs, while some companions can buy, learn, and cast offensive, supportive, and healing spells.
