Apache Flight

Apache Flight is a vertically scrolling shooter developed by Minds I and published by Atlantis Software. Set after the Cold War, it challenges players to destroy four terrorist hideouts using an Apache attack helicopter.

Gameplay

The helicopter has two weapons: unlimited standard ammunition, fired by tapping the fire button, and limited missiles, fired by holding it. Missiles are needed for ground targets such as cannons and tanks, while heat-seeking missiles are automatically used first.

Fuel drains constantly and can be restored by hovering over fuel depots. Shooting a depot with a missile instead releases additional missiles to collect. Enemy attacks and bullets must be avoided, as each hit costs a life. After losing a life, a replacement helicopter appears with replenished fuel and missiles and briefly becomes invincible.

Apache Flight was released in 1991 for Amiga, Atari ST, Atari ST/STE, and Commodore Amiga.
