Ashes of Empire is set in the Confederation of Syndicalist Republics, a society in decline where ambitious players seek to claim power while restoring peace and prosperity.

Beginning in a small coastal province, you must meet influential people, negotiate alliances, and decide when force is necessary. Strategic challenges include pacifying militant locals and protecting ethnic minorities. Vector-based combat sections add a physical test to the political and tactical gameplay.
