Third-person pseudo-3D alien combat across four Nu-Worlds

The briefing

About this game

Bad Company is an action shooter set in a future where Earth is dying and humanity must prepare new worlds, known as the Nu-Worlds, for colonization. Players take on the task of clearing these worlds of hostile alien insectoids, with an optional companion available during the mission.

The game uses a third-person pseudo-3D perspective reminiscent of Space Harrier. Before starting, players choose one of eight troopers, each affecting gameplay through traits such as weapon restrictions or increased speed. Combat features several alien types and level bosses, with four weapon systems that can be changed during play.

Players have full movement control rather than following an automatic scrolling path. Certain obstacles can provide cover or be destroyed. The campaign spans four levels, representing the four Nu-Worlds.
