Battle of Hoth

Battle of Hoth is a one-player Star Wars-themed arcade action shooter released for the Apple II in 1979.

Three columns of Imperial AT-AT walkers advance from the right toward Rebel defensive positions. The player pilots a Rebel snowspeeder, moving vertically while firing horizontally to destroy the walkers and avoid their fire. Destroyed AT-ATs are immediately replaced by new ones in the same row.

The objective is to survive for 300 seconds and allow the Rebel evacuation. The game ends if an Imperial vessel reaches the left side of the screen or all nine snowspeeders are lost.
