Battlehawks 1942

Battlehawks 1942 is a World War II flight simulator set in the Pacific Theatre. Players can fly as either an American or Japanese pilot across four operations.

The game represents twelve aircraft, including variants, along with approximately 20 types of ships. Its manual includes extensive historical information, giving the game an educational dimension in addition to its simulation and shooter elements.

Released in 1987, Battlehawks 1942 was the first entry in Lucasfilm Games and Lawrence Holland’s WWII air combat trilogy. It was released for Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, DOS, and MS-DOS.
