Beast Lord

In Beast Lord, the Lord of Darkness has imprisoned three guardians—a unicorn, a hawk, and a beam of light—and unleashed his orc hordes across the world. The player controls a young man known as the Beastlord, whose ability to interact with animals is essential to the quest.

Across three branching, side-scrolling levels, players fight enemies, collect food and money, and solve item-based puzzles. Progress also involves speaking with animals and humans, trading items, and using objects at the correct locations through a pop-up menu.

The game includes basic magic, a day/night cycle that affects certain actions, and a steadily decreasing energy bar governed by hunger. It was released for Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, and PC-9800 Series.
