About this game

Border Down is a futuristic side-scrolling shooter in which a test pilot remotely controls fighters through the RAIN combat simulator while attempting to survive enemy territory.

Gameplay

Destroying enemies fills a power bar used to unleash a super weapon, though doing so reduces normal firepower. Collectible power-ups provide weapon upgrades during the six enemy-infested stages.

Border System

Each stage has three separate routes, or borders. After selecting a starting route, losing a ship moves the game to the next border, introducing alternate backgrounds and enemy patterns. The game ends only after being knocked off the final border.

Modes and Stages

The game includes single-player Arcade, Remix, and Practice modes. Its final stage features four unique variations, and the visuals are completely polygonal.
