The briefing

About this game

Bounces is a futuristic sports game for two players, with one player optionally controlled by the computer. Each match has two 90-second halves, with the players competing from opposite sides of the screen.

Players score by catching the bouncing ball and throwing it through goal slots on the opponent’s side. Slots farther into the opposing half are worth more points but are harder to reach, especially because each player is attached to their side by a wire. Points can also be earned by knocking down the opponent with fists or the ball.

Stamina decreases when a player is knocked down, moves too far into the opponent’s territory, or collides with the wall. A player who runs out of stamina becomes unresponsive until recovering. The winner is the player with the most points when time expires.
