About this game

Boxing Legends of the Ring puts you in control of eight middleweight boxing legends: Roberto Duran, Tommy "Hitman" Duran, Jake "Raging Bull" La Motta, Rocky Graziano, "Sugar" Ray Robinson, "Sugar" Ray Leonard, "Marveleous" Marvin Hagler, and James Toney.

Game Modes

  • Exhibition: Compete in individual boxing matches.
  • Career: Fight to become the greatest of all time.

Boxing System

The standard punch selection includes jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and the illegal low blow. Each round and every knockdown you score awards a super punch: a powerful straight shot that can potentially knock out an opponent, but is lost if it misses.

During fights, damage displays track where punches connect and show the condition of both fighters. Bruises and cuts accumulate as rounds progress, while a fighter flashes red when tiring. The camera view alternates between looking over your shoulder and viewing your fighter from behind the opponent's shoulder between rounds.
