The briefing

About this game

Brian Clough's Football Fortunes is a football management computer board game for two to five players. Each participant takes the role of a club manager, competing against human and computer-controlled teams in a ten-team league and the F.A. Cup.

Managers aim to strengthen their teams and guide them through the season. From the second season onward, clubs also enter European competition: league champions play in the European Cup, F.A. Cup winners enter the Cup-Winners’ Cup, and the remaining clubs compete in the UEFA Cup.

The winner is the manager who reaches the end of the game with the highest number of game points. These points are awarded according to league and cup performance, as well as the cash remaining at the end of the game.
