Bubbles

Bubbles is an arcade maze-and-collect game from Williams Electronics. Players maneuver a soap bubble through a sink, absorbing ants, crumbs, and grease splotches known as “greasies.” Each item awards points and makes the bubble grow, gradually adding facial features.

Sponges, brushes, a cleaning lady, and cockroaches can interfere with the cleanup. The bubble can use the cleaning lady’s broom against cockroaches, while later levels introduce fatal razor blades. Clearing the debris causes the sink to drain and awards bonus points based on the bubble’s size. Players can also take risks by jumping down a flashing green drain to skip levels.

The game was released in 1981 for Arcade and Final Burn Alpha Neo.
