About this game

Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 is a team-based fighting game and sequel to Capcom vs. SNK. Players choose fighters from Capcom and SNK games, then battle opposing teams by defeating every opponent.

Gameplay

  • Teams can contain up to three characters.
  • Players freely assign each character a Ratio from one to four, with a maximum team total of four. The Ratio determines relative strength.
  • The Groove system includes options based on Capcom and SNK fighting games, including four additional systems beyond those in Millennium Fight 2000.
  • The game uses a six-button control layout associated with Capcom's Street Fighter, rather than the four-button Neo Geo standard.

Release

The game was originally released in arcades on NAOMI hardware and was later ported to the Sega Dreamcast and PlayStation 2. An updated version, Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, was released for GameCube and Xbox. The PlayStation 2 version was later released on PlayStation Network.
