The briefing

About this game

Chack'n Pop is an action-oriented platform game developed and released by Taito. It is considered a predecessor to Bubble Bobble and follows Chack'n, a round yellow creature attempting to recover hearts stolen during a romantic encounter with Miss Chack'n.

Gameplay

Chack'n uses bombs to defeat Monstas and destroy their eggs, as well as to free hearts from cages. Once released, a heart flies upward, destroys the separator block, and reveals the level exit.

Monstas hatch from eggs hanging from ceilings, while Mightas push a rock that serves as the game's timer. Eggs change through three states: blue eggs are harmless, yellow eggs hatch within 10 seconds, and red eggs hatch almost immediately.
