Classic Punter

Classic Punter is a horse-racing betting game for one or two players. A meeting can contain between 1 and 50 races, with players choosing horses and placing either win bets or forecast bets on the first- and second-place finishers.

Bets can use fixed S.P. odds or Tote odds, which are calculated after the race. Players can watch each race from a side-on, elevated view before reviewing the result and their winnings or losses. Between races, optional tips can be purchased, while loans provide extra funds at a weekly cost and require a share of winnings to be repaid.

In a one-player game, the objective is to build a fortune of £1,000,000. In a two-player game, the aim is to finish ahead of the other player. The game ends when the meeting is complete, the £1,000,000 target is reached, or all money is lost.
