About this game

Cosmic Fantasy Stories is a Sega CD compilation featuring Cosmic Fantasy: Bōken Shōnen Yū and Cosmic Fantasy 2, originally released for the PC Engine CD.

This edition includes improved graphics and music, with the most noticeable visual changes appearing in the first game. Its gameplay system has also been revised: previously passive characters can now participate in battles, while encounters occur more frequently. Areas have been redesigned, often with greater complexity, and difficulty adjustments make the first game's boss battles easier.

Cosmic Fantasy 2 receives similar revisions, but is generally more difficult in this release. Enemies gain new techniques, including attacks that inflict status ailments on player-controlled characters.
