About this game

Cosmic Pirate is a multi-directional space shooter in which the player works for The Council, a space pirate organization. Each mission centers on locating and hijacking a space truck, with objectives becoming more dangerous and difficult over time.

Players explore space sectors freely in all directions, using warp beacons to search for the correct destination. Each beacon costs money, which can be earned by destroying alien ships. Defeated enemies may leave behind useful pickups, including bonus credits, protection shields, and smart bombs. Credits remaining after a mission can be invested in ship upgrades.
