About this game

Cosmo Gang the Video is a 1992 fixed shooter developed and published by Namco. Players control the Hyper Beat starships while fighting the Cosmo Gang, a race of aliens causing mischief across Earth.

The game supports up to two players and features enemies that fly into formation before diving toward the bottom of the screen. Power-ups include shields, slow-moving bombs, a black hole, enemy-stunning devices, faster shots, and occasional extra-life items. Multiplayer-exclusive items can swap player positions or turn one player into a burst of projectiles.

The game spans 32 stages, including bonus rounds based on the older Cosmo Gangs redemption game. Later levels introduce projectile-firing boxes, shield-like coins, and draconic enemies that summon reinforcements. The final stage features a battle against Don Cosmo.
