Defend a deep-space mining installation through exploration, automation, and tactical combat.

The briefing

About this game

In Defcon 5, you play a cyberneer working for the fictional Tyron Corporation. Your assignment is to install automated defense software at MRP-6F, a deep-space mining compound built around a crater and threatened by invading forces.

The installation is protected by six defense turrets and a network of support systems. Explore the facility to find the equipment needed to establish a defensive line and escape, while using VOS terminals to remotely control turrets, load ammunition, inspect damage, deploy combat droids, operate doors, and monitor environmental conditions.

Direct firefights are possible, but destroying enemies reduces air quality and new attackers arrive with each wave. Polluted areas may be sealed off, forcing you to manage doors and ventilation while avoiding being trapped. The sprawling complex includes administrative and domestic towers, hangars, a service level, a control room, elevators, and the LIMO transportation system, providing multiple routes through the base.
