Delta Force: Black Hawk Down

Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is a first-person action shooter set in Somalia and based on the real events of the Mogadishu operation depicted in the book and film Black Hawk Down.

The campaign begins with varied missions involving Delta Force soldiers, including defending UN food convoys, rescuing hostages, and destroying weapon shipments. Its second half focuses on Operation Irene on October 3, 1993, when US forces attempted to capture two lieutenants of Somali warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid.

Players usually operate as part of a small Delta Force team alongside US Army Rangers or UN forces. Some missions also place the player in the role of a machine-gunner aboard a Humvee or helicopter, including Black Hawk helicopters.
