Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart is a Japan-only adventure RPG for the Game Boy Advance. Players take the role of Prince Kiefer from Dragon Quest VII, who is transported to Alefgard by the goddess Rubiss.

Kiefer joins a monster caravan led by the need to help the ill parents of a boy named Lewin, obtain the Ball of Roto, and find a way home. The caravan serves as a mobile base for planning monster hunts, while travel consumes food rations.

Monster Collection and Party Building

Players can recruit both monsters and human characters. Human party members can take on different jobs, while monsters are combined rather than bred, using monster hearts to create stronger creatures that retain inherited skill sets.
