A first-person fantasy RPG of survival, exploration, and rebellion in Dilmun

The briefing

About this game

Dragon Wars is a fantasy role-playing adventure set in Dilmun, an island of salvation transformed into a world of horror by Namtar. The game begins in the city of Purgatory, where a party of four must survive with no equipment and contend with a ban on magic.

Players must escape Purgatory, restore the use of magic, and ultimately overthrow Namtar. Exploration uses step-by-step first-person 3D environments, while enemies appear unexpectedly and battles are turn-based.

In addition to its Bard's Tale-inspired presentation, Dragon Wars features a skill system, auto-mapping, and numerous locations where abilities can be used. Careful skill-point distribution is important to the party's progress.
