Dynasty Warriors

Dynasty Warriors brings Koei's battlefield action to handheld play, placing you in the role of an officer serving the Wei, Wu, or Shu army. Battles unfold across multiple maps, where connected areas must be liberated by defeating enemy squads.

Gameplay

In Musou campaign mode, players progress through numerous battlefields, while Free mode offers individual battles that can also be used for training. Each area contains a smaller battlefield inspired by the main Dynasty Warriors games. Enemy-controlled areas can provide bonuses, including supplies that extend the time available to complete a stage.

Defeating enemies grants experience points, allowing characters to level up. The PSP version also introduces a bodyguard system: a selected second officer can provide items or abilities, such as ensuring a horse is available when entering an area or strengthening Musou attacks.
