About this game

Fast Break is a basketball sports simulator developed and published by Accolade, released in Europe in 1989. It features matches between the Slammers and Jammers, with two teams of six competing in a three-on-three contest.

Players can compete against a friend or a computer opponent. Before each match, they choose the quarter length—from 3 to 12 minutes—and select which squad members will play, using summaries of each player’s strengths and weaknesses to guide their decisions.

Gameplay

  • Dribbling, passing, shooting, and offensive or defensive play calls
  • Two types of personal foul, with no free throws
  • Manual switching between players
  • A two-part flick-screen court presentation

Fast Break was released for Amiga, Apple IIGS, Commodore Amiga, Commodore C64/128/MAX, DOS, and MS-DOS.
