Fatal Frame III: The Tormented

Fatal Frame III: The Tormented follows Rei Kurosawa, whose fiancé, Yuu Asou, dies in a car accident while she is driving. During a reporting assignment, Rei enters a haunted mansion and begins encountering frightening images of Yuu.

The Camera Obscura returns as both a weapon against ghosts and a tool for investigation. Photographing spirits and disturbing objects reveals clues, helping uncover the mystery and break the curse. Players explore with a strobe light, solve puzzles, and move between the real world and a dream world.

The story can be experienced through three women and continues the Japanese horror style established by the earlier games in the series. Developed and published by Tecmo, the game was released on November 8, 2005, for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3.
