About this game

Final Blaster is a vertically scrolling action shooter in which players pilot a spaceship through seven levels, battling enemy forces and a powerful boss at the end of each stage.

The game features a dynamic difficulty system with four ranks. Strong performance in one level can raise the player's rank and increase the challenge in the next. Two color-coded power-ups provide weapon upgrades and accompanying drones. When the player loses a life, these extras are placed in a green capsule that can be collected during the next life.

Final Blaster was developed by Aisystem Tokyo and published by Namco. It was released on September 28, 1990, for NEC PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, with a Wii release also listed.
