About this game

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is an unlicensed 8-bit adaptation of SquareSoft’s 1997 role-playing game, originally developed for the Subor, a Nintendo Famicom clone. A 2013 hack by members of the Romhacking.net community updated its gameplay and graphics.

The game retains the original story and uses a three-member party structure, with items, spells, and equipment based on the PlayStation classic. Numerous optional characters, side quests, and other elements were omitted. It was initially criticized for its difficulty but later received praise for the ambition and technical skill behind the project.
