Front Mission 4

Front Mission 4 is a turn-based strategy RPG set in 2096, when Wanzer walking tanks form the backbone of many military forces. The story follows two parallel campaigns: Elsa and the EC Armor Tactics Research Corps investigate attacks on German bases, while Sgt. Darril and UCS forces become involved in Venezuela’s attempted secession and a cargo plane carrying part of Governor Diaz’s gold.

Gameplay

Combat takes place on overhead maps divided into Player and Enemy phases. Wanzers can move and spend remaining Action Points on attacks or abilities. Battles reward Experience Points that can be exchanged for abilities such as Rapid Fire and Evasion bonuses.

Pilots have a limited number of skill slots, and abilities occupy those slots in different ways. Although characters begin with skill preferences, any pilot can learn any ability. Money and items found on maps or earned after battles can be used to upgrade Wanzers and purchase weapons.
